*OVERVIEW:* Under general supervision, the Student Success Coordinator provides essential support to students, faculty, and staff within The Learning Commons environment.
This position hires, trains, and supervises all student tutors.
You’ll engage with visitors, helping them navigate research materials, troubleshoot technical issues, and access digital resources.
You’ll work closely with faculty and staff to maintain an organized and welcoming space, contribute to workshops or training sessions, and ensure a seamless learning experience for all users.
Strong communication skills, a customer-service orientation, and a willingness to adapt to evolving educational technologies are key for success in this role.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
· Support all Learning Commons operations as the initial service point for assistance.
· Supervise and provide guidance to a team of student tutors, ensuring quality tutoring services.
· Recruit, interview, and select student tutors, and coordinate their training.
· Create and manage schedules for student tutors to ensure coverage during peak times.
· Evaluate student tutors’ performance through regular assessments and feedback.
· Develop educational materials, study guides, and resources, especially online research databases, in collaboration with student tutors and faculty.
· Collect and analyze data on tutoring sessions and user feedback for improvement.
· Foster the professional development of student tutors through mentoring and opportunities.
· Assist users in navigating technology tools and software available in The Learning Commons.
· Provide front-facing support for students and faculty for the University’s learning management system.
· Assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and inventory management.
· Contribute to the promotion and student outreach efforts of The Learning Commons’s services.
· Host study halls for at-risk students and low-success rate courses.
· Be available to provide tutorial services, as needed.
· Provide proctor testing services within proctor service hours.
· Collegially responds to requests for faculty and staff.
· Welcome tours and other visitors.
· Maintain appropriate study environment in The Learning Commons.
· Other duties as assigned.

· Computer proficiency, including list/database management.

*WORK ENVIRONMENT*
· This position works in a climate controlled environment with a quiet to moderate noise level.
*SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES:*
Train, manage, motivate and directs assigned student tutors.
*EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:*
· Bachelor Degree and 1 year of relevant experience.
*SALARY*
$35,600 annually
