(CBBC), a division of Quirch Foods, is seeking an experienced Freezer Cleaner.
to join our Warehouse team.
This position is responsible for, among other things, performing building inspections to ensure building security.
Cleans equipment.
Assists and supports during special events.
_*Essential duties and Responsibilities:*_
* Clean and sanitize cold storage areas, freezers, and refrigerated units according to established cleaning protocols and schedules.
* Remove debris, spills, and ice buildup from floors, walls, and equipment using appropriate cleaning tools and chemicals.
* Dispose of waste materials properly and ensure compliance with waste management procedures.
* Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working in cold temperatures and handling cleaning chemicals.
* Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors of low stock levels.
* Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve cleanliness and sanitation goals.
*Requirements:*
* Previous experience in a similar role or working in cold storage environments preferred.
* Ability to work in low-temperature conditions (freezer temperatures) for extended periods.
* Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment used in food industry sanitation.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
* Physical capability to lift and move heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
* Flexibility in working hours, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Certification in food handling and sanitation practices is a plus.
* Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines for working in cold environments.
*Working Conditions:*
* The role involves working in cold storage environments with temperatures below freezing.
* Physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, is required.
