Yard Driver

Overview: Yard Drivers operate yard vehicles to move trailers to designated loading/unloading sites as directed.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) a plus Must be organized and detail oriented Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to read chemical labels and follow safe handling procedures for food grade products Ability to accurately record data Must be able to work weekends, and varying shifts (days, evenings, nights) PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May be required to work in cold, damp environments and be exposed to the outside weather Maintain constant mental focus and be constantly aware of surroundings Responsibilities: Moves trailer to designated loading docks within the Borden yard facility Responsible for keeping daily logs Spots and switches trailer as directed Stars trailer cooling process before loading and checks trailer temperatures and fuel Levels Cleans, washes, and fuels trailers, and inspects for damages Services switcher tractor by checking and replenishing liquid levels and draining air tanks Performs Driver Vehicle Inspection Report daily for each shift Keep Spotter vehicle clean Loads/unloads and sorts/stacks pallets Assists team in unloading empty cases, racks, and other equipment Assists team in keeping loading bay clean
