Summary
The CDL Driver position is responsible for bulk and package deliveries, retrieving directions, and providing customer service and logistics support with respect to lubricant department deliveries throughout the geographic area.
Major Responsibilities
• Safely transports and delivers loaded and empty tanker, bulk, semi & van trucks in a professional, safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
• Hooks and unhooks trailers, operates pumps and valves both on and off the truck and safely fills tanks of all types and sizes using various size hoses, nozzles and fittings.
• Secures all products, hoses, and other essential tools required of the job are secured by using approved securing method, such as tie downs, straps, etc.
• Load and unload trailers when required while performing frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of products, hoses, propane bottles and applicable tools for the job
• Ensure customer orders are correct and handled and delivered by DPIM (Distributor Product Integrity Manual) standards.
Monitor key performance data to anticipate customer service problems, opportunities and risks.
Report problems to supervisor in a timely and accurate manner and follow-up to ensure problem resolutions.

• Coordinate with Dispatchers to resolve any issues, problems or concerns that arise in transit or during delivery.
Decide and disseminate solutions to meet and satisfy customer needs.
Coordinate with management, Dispatchers, customers, and fellow employees to fulfill customer orders.
• Maintains a viable relationship with Management, Dispatchers, customers, and fellow employees to ensure customers ‘needs are met at all times
• Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under State and Federal Laws and Regulations.
• Provides accurate accident, safety and various other related reporting as required.
Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
• Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods by completing and post safety inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.
Report vehicle defects, incidents, traffic violations or damage to the trucks, trailers, and/or equipment immediately.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
• Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor
• May assist in warehouse on an Ad Hoc basis by safely operating warehouse equipment (e.
g.
forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
) for the purpose of moving large and heavy items safely and effectively.
Loads and unloads delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport, including package or bulk conveyance, protecting the product integrity and minimizing the risk for spills.
• Assist with unloading rail cars and transferring of product to inventory.
• Employee must demonstrate safe work and risk management practices.
Communicate and enforce all safety and security issues.
Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or unsafe acts in accordance with SPF Energy’s policy and procedure.
• Ensure that confidentiality of data collected and stored are maintained.
• Employee is expected to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Employee is responsible for planning and carrying out assignments, resolving conflicts that arise, informing and coordinating with others as expected.
Employee is accountable for ensuring the technical accuracy of their work and maintaining good working relations, both internal and external to SPF Energy.
Self-direction and motivation are also expected.

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Class A Driver’s License
• Clean driving record•Current DOT Medical Card
• 1-year full time verifiable tractor-trailer tanker experience
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
• Doubles/Triples endorsements
• Ability to work in all weather conditions with previous experience driving in winter weather
• Able and willing to work long hours including day and night shifts
• Able to safely climb ladders and walk on top of truck tanks
• Able to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods
• Ability to move & maneuver 450 lbs.
