The Driver/Production Worker will be responsible for helping meet the needs of the customers by delivering and picking up products in a timely, safe and courteous manner.
Perform all duties necessary to produce complete line of wire rope assemblies according to company methods, standards and work instructions utilizing the safest and most efficient means possible.
Production Worker Job Duties
Review, interpret and understand codes, instructions and specifications of Fab Tickets along with special drawings or blueprints
Calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements and selects appropriate equipment to produce all varieties of wire rope assemblies
Setup, operate, adjust and maintain all wire rope productions machines and equipment
Select, write and attach proper tags and labels to products; locate and interpret appropriate capacity tables
Count, record and report inventory as required
Performs all duties to established quality standards and report defective or substandard material supplies or product
Maintain work area, equipment and tools in a clean and organized manner, and follow all Safety Guidelines
Driver Job Duties
Perform routine checks on the truck prior to delivery
Load and unload trucks as required
Ensure truck maintenance is kept on schedule
Notify team leaders of any issues with the truck
Inform sales of all information that the customer convey while making deliveries
Perform various production duties as directed by the team leader
Maintain a clean truck and work area
Record and maintain daily delivery pickup log
Record, update and maintain directions to customer locations
Perform other duties as assigned
Education
High school diploma or GED is required
Experience & Skills
Experience in wire rope splicing, preferred
Strong analytical, conceptual and planning skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
Computer skills a plus along with excellent math skills.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
