CDL Driver Class A or B

*Job Title:* CDL Driver Class A or B *Department:* Operations *Reports To:* VP of Operations *FLSA Status*: Non-Exempt Fi-Foil Company is small manufacturer, converter, and distributor of reflective insulation solutions for buildings located in Auburndale, FL with customers throughout the US Southeast.
Reflective Insulation is delivered in company leased 26’ Freightliner box trucks to business customers in Florida, routes are scheduled daily and do not exceed 10 hours of driving time.
90% of the drivers working hours are directly related to driving, the remaining 10% will be operating fork trucks and repack for custom orders.
The Delivery Driver reports to the Operations Vice President and works directly with the Operations Assistant and Material Handlers.

*Responsibilities* * Loading, transporting, and delivering reflective insulation to businesses in a safe, timely manner.
* Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
* Assisting with loading and unloading pallets and rolls from vehicles.
* Daily vehicle safety inspection and preventative maintenance for 26’ Freightliner box trucks.
* Preparing reports and other shipping documents relating to deliveries.
* Accepting payments for delivered items (no cash payments accepted).
* Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
* Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
* Comply with all FDOT regulations and safety standards.
* Maintain Electronic Data Log EDL daily and comply with Hours of Service HOS regulations.
* Maintain a safe driving record.
* Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
* Report defects, accidents or issues with product during delivery or loading/unloading transition.
* Repackaging materials and operating light industrial tools for custom orders.
*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* * Ability to operate 26’ box trucks with air brakes and forklifts in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
* Demonstrate ability to operate a fork truck and pass safety course.
* Ability to walk, drive, lift and carry heavy items (40-60 lbs.
) safely for extended periods.
* Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills * Attention to detail.
* Must understand and follow oral and written instructions.
*Requirements:* * Valid Florida Class B CDL * Three years proven working experience as a Delivery Driver.
* Good driving record with no traffic violations.
* High school degree * Drug Test: Pre-employment, post-accident and random testing through consortium.
