Job Description
Summary: Delivery of merchandise to Customers within expected time parameters.
Essential Functions:
-Deliver merchandise according to the pre-determined route.
-Unload correct merchandise and check the order, and note any corrections.
-Complete all assigned reports and paperwork at the end of the day.
Communicate with the Manager any system or documentation problem identified;
-Pick up returned merchandise, per return authorization.
Complies with all DOT regulations;
-Performs safety and housekeeping duties as pertains to Edward Don & Company and OSHA as assigned.
-Effectively communicates verbally and in writing to customers and all levels of staff.
External Qualifications
Requirements:
-High School diploma or GED equivalent.
-Local delivery must have Class A or B CDL with a good driving record and ability to maintain while employed; must be able to comply with all DOT regulations.
-Multi-stop delivery experience preferred.
Essential Physical Requirements:
-Able to maintain a DOT-required health permit.
-Ability to bend, stoop, climb, twist, stand and lift between 60-100 lbs.
while loading and unloading the truck at every stop, (15-30 stops per day).
-Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time.
