*Job Description:*
As a Class A CDL Driver specializing in heavy equipment hauling, you will play a critical role in our operations.
Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently transport heavy equipment to and from job sites.
This includes loading, securing, and unloading various types of heavy machinery, such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
*Responsibilities:*
- Safely operate and maneuver tractor-trailer combinations, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Load and unload heavy equipment onto trailers using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Secure cargo using chains, binders, and straps to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any maintenance issues or concerns
- Maintain accurate records of hours worked and materials transported
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, and other team members to ensure timely delivery of equipment
- Occasionally operate a dump truck to transport materials to and from job sites
*Requirements:*
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CDL driver
- Knowledge of FDOT regulations and safety standards for transporting heavy equipment
- Ability to operate various types of heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety at all times
