This unit was purchased new and used only in a non-smoking environment.
A universal remote was used to control it so the original remote is like new.
The unit itself is pristine with no scratches or scrapes.
It's been boxed up and stored in a climate-controlled storage unit for about 2 years and the last time I used it I thought there was a little noise (like a ground loop) when playing analog sources but didn't have time to track it down.
I have recently unpacked it and checked the outputs with an oscilloscope.
There definitely is a slight hum originating in the right channel on the analog side.
The left channel (analog) and both left & right channels are quiet.
Of course when a surround mode is selected the right channel analog hum will propagate to the right surround.
Scope pictures are posted with the scale circled.
Although the right channel analog signal doesn't look a whole lot different from the left channel, it is displayed at 1.
4mV/division whereas the left channel is displayed at 1.
2mV/division.
The difference is that the right channel hum is big enough to be audible.
The original chips are also included from when the unit was upgraded from the base configuration to AC-3.
The original box and packing is included although some of the foam packing has deteriorated.
The box is in excellent condition but not pictured.
The cost for the unit together with upgrade was $4500, so in case you weren't familiar with the brand, this is not a typical consumer-grade processor.
