With the nation getting pretty screwy lately, it's high time to get a quality security system set up for your home.
This wired system is pretty jam-packed, with 4 high-definition cameras, each switching to high-powered infrared at nighttime.
Battery-operated systems are easier to install but the batteries need periodic replacement and they're no match for systems like this one which throws out a powerful infrared beam.
Before the hot summer sun starts cooking your roof, it's a good time to get up in the attic and install a system like this one.
Hook it up to a router and you can monitor your property over the internet.
Included are almost everything you need to get going: - The QTH85 DVR unit with a 320GB hard drive - 4 HD cameras with infrared - 4 spools of 60-foot wires with proper connectors integrated on the ends - Remote control - Wired optical mouse - Power transformer and connectors to power the DVR and each of the cameras - Ethernet cable - HDMI cable As can be seen in the pictures, most everything is new and still in plastic wrap.
The cameras and DVR unit were used for about a year before I sold my house and re-installed a Q-See system that was not high definition.
You'll obviously need basic tools like screwdrivers to mount the cameras.
If 4 cameras aren't enough, up to 4 more cameras can be added, including those with PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) capabilities.
Once set up you can monitor everything via the internet.
The 320GB drive is about the minimum you want for this system - the higher the capacity the more days of footage it will retain.
A 1+TB drive would be much better.
