GMF is seeking a corporate paralegal to become part of our team! The paralegal will provide compliance support to all corporate business unit leaders and Department Heads in the areas of Risk Management and Quality Assurance.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, an effective multi-tasker, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment!
Responsibilities:
Organize and maintain project documents in electronic filing systems
Support internal quality controls administration, including various Quality, Training, and Internal Audit committees
Support contracts management, including review and organization of agreements such as NDA’s, real property leases, vendor agreements, etc.
Keep industry-related reference libraries, as well as internal policies and procedures up to date and organized
Responsible for reviewing, tracking and monitoring legislation impacting company operations
Support the company’s risk management, compliance, and insurance programs (including annual renewals and maintenance of policies)
Manage project deadlines regarding protection and enforcement of lien rights
Conduct internal audits and timely update leadership on results
Renewing and maintaining business entity documents and licensures, as needed
Manage access to and deployment of company assets and intellectual property
Responsible for support related to claims, mediations and litigation on an as-needed basis, including liaising with third-party administrators on case progress

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum 3-5 years of paralegal experience required
Workers’ Compensation experience preferred
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft suite of applications, with a particular emphasis on Excel
Ability to quickly compile and organize information and documents
Working knowledge of legal terminology (emphasis construction law preferred, but not required)
Ability to handle and maintain time sensitive and confidential materials
Critical thinking
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle heavy work load
Ability to work independently as well as a team player
Dependable and reliable
Ability to multi-task
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Salary:
$60,000 - $73,000/year
