*Position Overview:*
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in home health settings and a passion for helping clients achieve their maximum level of independence and function.
*Job Responsibilities:*
* Provide occupational therapy services to clients in their homes as prescribed by a licensed occupational therapist.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
* Implement therapeutic interventions to improve clients' abilities to perform activities of daily living, mobility, and functional tasks.
* Educate clients and their caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, and physicians, to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and billing information in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies.
*Qualifications:*
* Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a COTA, preferably in a home health setting.
* Valid state license or certification to practice as a COTA.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
* Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and caseload.
* Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation software.
* Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to clients' homes within the designated service area.
