Description
The Publix Technology Store Accounting team is seeking a highly analytical Intermediate Software Engineer to join a collaborative team focused on development and modernization of complex financial systems.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years development experience, demonstrate leadership qualities, and desire to continuously learn.
Job Responsibilities:
Define and communicate development scope, resource estimates, and risks to the product owner, scrum master, and/or manager
Collaborate with product owner and team members to develop features and user stories with clear requirements and acceptance criteria
Convert requirements to technical design, develop high-quality solutions, and implement while collaborating with other technical and business areas
Break down features and user stories into smaller tasks with time estimates
Facilitate technical knowledge transfers and perform peer code reviews
Lead technical team through problem determination and resolution on highly complex problems
Ensure technology solutions and enhancements meet or exceed change management, security, and compliance policies
Ability to participate in 24×7 production support rotation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other analytical disciplines, or equivalent experience
3+ years full-stack web development experience with .
NET Core, C#, and Microsoft Entity Framework
3+ years of experience working with one or more of the following: Angular, React, HTML, CSS, RESTful API, JavaScript
3+ years of experience with SQL Server or other SQL databases including database design and authoring complex queries
3+ years of experience designing enterprise class solutions using object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, service-oriented architecture, and solution frameworks
Experience working in an agile scrum environment and working closely with business partners
Experience planning and managing all activates associated with delivering solutions in a large-scale distributed environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to continuously learn
Preferred Qualifications
Continued education and certifications in testing and various technical disciplines
5 years of full-stack web development experience
Experience with Azure DevOps for managing project tasks, managing code repositories, and creating pipelines for CI/CD builds and deployments
Experience working with Azure Cloud Platform and Azure Services
Experience developing within Azure Databricks
Experience with Apache Spark and Scala/Python
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization technologies
Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture
Experience writing automated test suite for .
NET using test framework tools (nUnit, xUnit)
Experience developing scalable and secure financial systems

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year.
This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
