The incumbent is part of a global public health organization and is expected to support the Florida Department of Health in Highlands County in its mission to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county and community efforts and its efforts and its vision to be the Healthiest State in the Nation.

Responsibilities and Duties: This position includes duties of an administrative nature assisting and providing relevant information to both the public and staff within the Florida Department of Health in Highlands County.
Engages in a wide range of activities, including but not limited to, data input, correspondence, running reports, and maintenance of client databases within the Women’s Infant and Children (WIC) department.
Assist the WIC director with clerical and administrative duties, schedule meetings, updating office calendar, communicating with staff on projects and deadlines, ordering supplies, inventory, and other new materials as needed.
Incumbent must be flexible and able to prioritize new tasks as they come in.
Must have good time management skills, excellent customer service, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position: Knowledge of: Statutes, and Rules and Regulations that pertain to the programs, as applicable.
